Who am i?

Just an it guy

I started my career in 2017 and since then the only goal has been to keep that momentum going. At the end of the day I am just one guy sharing his opinions/experiences online.

my story

The journey began in the summer of 2016. At this point, I had gone through two years of community college and was planning to transfer to a university as a Computer Engineer. While attending college I would hear ads on the radio about a local IT training program. After a few days i decided to visit the campus and ended up signing up that same day. At that time the thought process was “I’ll take a break from College, get some certifications, and afterwards start working in the computer field while going back to finish my degree.”

I spent maybe 6 months (Early 2017) at that training program and walked out with a CompTIA A+ and some MTA’s which lead to landing a job a week after graduating. After speaking with some of the instructors and landing my first job i quickly realized that a degree is not necessary and in most cases is not worth the effort if working in IT. Realizing that, I made the choice not to continue with college and to spend my time working up the IT ladder. I regret nothing.
